Michelle
Salas is pregnant!

According to Peopleenespanol.com,
the alleged daughter of
Luis Miguel
is pregnant with the baby
of the singer's manager,
Alejandro Asensi.
Everyone was awaiting
the birth of Luis Miguel
and Aracely Arambula's
child. Nevertheless, there's
even bigger news that
nobody was expecting to
hear: the singer's alleged
daughter whom he shares
with Stephanie
Salas, Michelle, 19,
and his manager, Alejandro
Asensi, 39, –who's
been his rep for more
than 13 years–, are going
to be parents in 2009.
Rumors of a possible pregnancy
circulated last November
when photos were released
of Michelle Salas, in
Miami, FL, on board Luis
Miguel's yacht,
donning a bit of a belly
bump.
Salas
and Asensi have
always denied their relationship.
In fact, her mother, Stephanie
Salas declared
she was very offended
by all the gossip surrounding
her daughter sex life.
Although Michelle
Salas has openly
admitted that she is the
daughter of Luis
Miguel, the singer
has never confirmed or
denied it.
Stephanie
Salas (born Stephanie
Salas Banquells February
3, 1970) is a Mexican
singer/actress. Stephanie
Salas was born into one
of the most famous showbiz
families in all of Mexico.
Her mother is actress
Silvia Pasquel; her grandmother
is legendary actress Silvia
Pinal; and her aunt is
singer Alejandra Guzman.
Stephanie
made her showbiz debut
singing at age 8 alongside
her mother on the show
Noche a noche hosted by
Veronica Castro. She would
later join the cast of
Vaselina, the Spanish-language
state production of Grease
alongside Timbiriche.
At age 16 she was asked
to join the cast of the
telenovela El precio de
la fama by producer Ernesto
Alonso.
For
the latter part of the
90s Stephanie took time
off to raise her two daughters.
While she was pretty dormant
on the music front, Stephanie
did find time to continue
acting. She left Televisa
briefly and participated
in several telenovelas
for competing network
TV Azteca such as El candidato
and Agua y aceite.
Stephanie's greatest acting
achievement is without
a doubt her participation
in the Spanish language
version of Eve Ensler's
Vagina Monologues. The
Mexican production of
this play has been running
for over 7 years and has
toured all of Mexico and
has been performed over
3,500 times. Stephanie's
other theatrical productions
include : Mame; Mi vida
es mi vida; and El protagonista.
After not releasing any
music since 1994, Stephanie
returned to the music
scene in late 2006 with
a new project entitled
Tuna. Alongside musician
Pepe Acosta, they have
released their self-titled
debut on the Mexican independent
label MW Records. The
band was previously named
Tinta but had to change
its name due to legal
issues. Stephanie is currently
promoting her new release.
After years of speculation
Stephanie claimed that
the father of her eldest
daughter Michelle Salas
- whom she had given birth
to at only age 19 - is
singer Luis Miguel.* However,
for reasons only known
to Luis Miguel, he has
never recognized Michelle
as his daughter. This
is even after a reported
DNA test. Luis Miguel's
involvement with Michelle
has been very minor, and
only sporadic. In sharp
contrast, Luis Miguel
is very vocal about being
father to Aracely Arambula's
son, and to the child
she is now pregnant with.
This causes many Mexicans
to suspect that Michelle
Salas is not the biological
daughter of Luis Miguel.
Regardless, he seems to
be concerned about the
young woman, and he and
Arambula have tried to
extend friendship toward
Stephanie Salas and her
daughter, due to Michelle's
well-documented emotional
problems.
