The rapper of Cuban descent was arrested early Friday morning in Miami for driving under the influence

The Miami Herald reports that Armando C. Pérez, better known as the rapper Pitbull, was taken to the Miami-Dade county jail early Friday morning for driving under the influence.

Not many details are available, but reports inform that Pérez was booked at 6:51 a.m., Eastern Time. The reggaeton singer, 26, will have to pay a $1,000 bail in order to be released.

Last month, the rapper of Cuban descent released his album The Boatlift, a disc inspired by his mother. The "Ay chico" singer is currently ranked at number 24 on Billboard's top independent album chart.
