The Andy Montanez concert was a very well organized event; people from all over the Greater Toronto Area came to see the 'Godfather of Salsa'.

The orchestra included many local musicians that put on a spectacular show, apart from Andy Montanez the concert was full of surprises such as Wilson Manuelle as the opening act and the confirmation of Willie Colon concert in November. The dansing contest offered wonderful prizes. Other prizes included a grand prize of Canadian Salsa Congress Tickets and raffles for a trip for two to New York, diamond earrings, diamond watch and a diamond ring from V.I.P. Jewelry.
