September 18, 2007 marked the release of GLORIA
ESTEFAN's latest musical achievement: "90
MILLAS" (90 Miles). Gloria pays tribute
to her heritage with a collection of newly recorded
original Spanish language songs celebrating
Cuban music and culture. The album "90
Millas" also pays homage to the most influential
and preeminent Hispanic musicians of the past
50 years. Like her 1993 world-wide smash CD
“Mi Tierra,” 90 Millas continues
in that musical direction with original and
innovative afro-Cuban rhythms.
By collaborating with guest artists like Carlos
Santana, Jose Feliciano, Sheila E on what will
be the lead single from the album “No
Llores”, the CD is not only a celebration
of Gloria’s roots, but a musical celebration
that transcends all Latin musical and cultural
genres.
