Amar Sin Limites (Limitless
Love) is a Mexican telenovela
that Televisa aired in 2006.
Univision premiered it in
the US on July 17, 2007.
It airs weeknights at 8
p.m. (ET/PT) over about
30 weeks until it ends on
January 18, 2008.
This
limited-run serial is a
remake of the Argentine
series Resistire (I Will
Resist). In 2006, MyNetworkTV
produced a separate American
version in English titled
Watch Over Me.
This melodrama features
a love triangle between
a handsome hero, Diego Moran,
and a seductive villain,
Mauricio Duarte, fighting
for the love of the beautiful
Azul Toscano. When we first
see Diego, he works as a
tailor in a men's store.
His last girlfriend, Valeria,
dumped him – and took his
money and belongings with
her, leaving him living
unhappily with his parents.
Diego’s
spirits lift when he meets
Azul and decides he wants
to spend his life with her.
Unfortunately, she is engaged
to Mauricio, a charming
man from a shadowy business
world. Serendipity keeps
bringing Diego and Azul
together, although each
time they walk away thinking
they will never meet again.
Diego
befriends Silvana Lombardo,
who lost her seven-year-old
son Nikolas in a car accident
that Mauricio staged. She
blames the cunning Mauricio
for her son's death, believing
he also killed his first
wife, Liliana. When Silvana
decides to take murderous
revenge, Diego tries to
stop her. He ends up saving
his rival’s life.
Mauricio
is impressed by Diego’s
ability, thinks of him as
a good luck charm and hires
him to work at his house.
Diego takes the job, believing
he has lost his chance of
winning Azul. He believes
she chose Mauricio because
he had more to offer her
(like jewelry and money)
than he did.
Bit
by bit, Diego discovers
that Mauricio is a death
merchant who infects people
with deadly diseases for
money. Azul, however, does
not know of Mauricio's true
cruelty and immorality.
So Diego decides to keep
working for Mauricio to
protect her and her father,
Alfredo Toscano, who is
a brilliant scientist.
Alfredo
and Azul become pawns in
Mauricio’s deadly game of
destruction. Yet Diego refuses
to surrender to Mauricio.
He risks everything to save
the woman he loves.
